the staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean with good facilities like free coffee, laundry and famous Japanese onsen. the night's stay came with a delicious and varied breakfast, including fish, eggs and some Western options. There are some great stores nearby, with a big supermarket just over the road and some department stores and plaza type shopping centers a couple of blocks away.
Some of the connecting trains were infrequent, which was a minor downside.

This hotel is in a perfect spot to explore the city, just a stone's throw from the train station. The staff was very friendly and the room was sparkling clean. The free breakfast included Western and Japanese dishes, making it a great start to the day. We also enjoyed the onsen, which was a nice way to relax after a day of sightseeing.
The heating in the room wasn't as effective as we would have liked, and we found ourselves feeling a bit chilly. , the wifi was a little spotty at times, but it wasn't a major issue.
